Thornton fourth with Malvern Bank East Series at Mason City
Dylan Thornton made his lone start of the weekend on Sunday at Mason City Motor Speedway, competing in the Malvern Bank East Series-sanctioned Father’s Day Special.
After finishing fourth in his heat race, Thornton matched that effort in the $3,000-to-win A-Main, notching a solid fourth-place result in the 25-lap feature. He followed Chad Simpson, Jason Hahne, and Justin Zeitner across the line, while Blair Nothdurft completed the top five.
