Dylan Thornton increases 2025 win total to 14
Dylan Thornton’s Labor Day weekend got off to an early start with a Thursday night trip to Cresco Speedway for the Blue Ribbon Classic.
The event, which served as the opener of a tripleheader co-sanctioned by the Malvern Bank East and West Series, saw Thornton notch a solid fourth-place finish to begin the busy stretch.
From there, the action shifted to Minnesota’s Deer Creek Speedway Friday, where Thornton outdueled a pair of national touring regulars to capture his 14th win of the season and a $3,000 paycheck.
He returned to the high-banked oval on Saturday for the $7,000-to-win weekend finale, advancing two spots to finish fourth in the 40-lap feature.
The weekend concluded on Sunday at the legendary Eldora Speedway with Thornton piloting the DRT Race Cars No. 13 Late Model in the Baltes Classic. Using the event as a tune-up for the upcoming World 100, he crossed the line 16th in the feature.
