Thornton attends World 100 at Eldora Speedway
Dylan Thornton reunited with the DRT Race Cars team this past weekend to compete in the prestigious 55th annual World 100 at Eldora Speedway.
With twin preliminary nights on Thursday and Friday setting the stage for Saturday’s $72,000-to-win main event, Thornton’s weekend got off to a tough start. While running in a transfer spot during his Thursday heat race, a broken ball joint ended his night early.
He rebounded on Friday by racing his way into the $12,000-to-win preliminary feature through his heat race, ultimately finishing 26th in the 25-lap event.
Thornton’s attempt to make Saturday’s $72,000-to-win World 100 finale came up short, as he finished 19th in his B-Main.
