Sixth-place finish in Harvest Hustle at Marshalltown Speedway
In his final race weekend of the year in the state of Iowa, Dylan Thornton invaded Marshalltown (IA) Speedway on Friday for the inaugural Harvest Hustle on the High Banks.
With dual heat races on Friday night kicking off the doubleheader event, Thornton backed up a ninth-to-second showing in his first heat with a fourth-place finish in the second round.
Starting the $4,000-to-win Harvest Hustle on the High Banks A-Main from the fourth row, Dylan surrendered a spot late in the 40-lap affair to finish sixth. A slowly deflating right-rear tire slowed Thornton's momentum in the closing laps of Saturday's finale.
