Dylan Thornton tops Boone Speedway's Frostbuster
After a weekend in the Super Late Model ranks, Dylan Thornton returned to the driver’s seat of his Midstate Machine No. 38T Modified on Friday afternoon for the second round of the IMCA Frostbuster.
Following Thursday’s rainout at Independence Motor Speedway, Thornton joined 34 IMCA Modified at Marshalltown (IA) Speedway where he raced to an eighth-place finish in the opener.
At Boone (IA) Speedway on Saturday, Dylan followed up a third-place finish in his heat with his sixth win of the season in the feature. He went third-to-first on the third lap and paced the remainder of the 30-lapper.
Sunday’s Frostbuster finale at Stuart Speedway fell victim to wet weather.
