Dylan Thornton drives to 10th win of 2025 at Lafayette County Speedway
Dylan Thornton kicked off a busy weekend of double-duty racing on Friday night in Wisconsin, competing with the Malvern Bank East Series at Lafayette County Speedway.
Piloting the Kay Motorsports No. 38T Late Model, Thornton delivered a nearly flawless night. After earning fast time honors in his qualifying group and winning his heat, he surged from third-to-first on lap three of the feature and never looked back, powering to his 10th victory of the season and a $3,000 payday.
He also competed in the Modified division but elected to scratch from the feature after recording a fourth-place finish in his heat.
On Saturday, Thornton returned to action in the Malvern Bank East Series-sanctioned King of the Bullring 40 at Winneshiek Raceway. He advanced two positions in the 40-lap feature to notch a runner-up finish, sharing the podium with winner Chad Simpson and third-place finisher Tyler Bruening.
Thornton’s weekend wrapped up Sunday at Benton County Speedway, where mechanical issues ended his Modified effort early on lap four.
