Dylan Thornton tops Greg Durbin Memorial at Davenport
Dylan Thornton spent the weekend with the Kay Motorsports team at Davenport Speedway and left the Iowa oval with his 15th victory of the season.
The action kicked off Friday night with the Davenport Dirt Stars event, where Thornton competed with the Karl Chevrolet Pro Late Model Tour. He started strong, scoring a heat race win and then advancing two positions in the main event to secure a runner-up finish.
In Saturday’s Greg Durbin Memorial, Thornton took control late in the dash, leading the final two laps, then dominated the 30-lap feature with a flag-to-flag victory to secure the $2,500 winner’s purse.
